Summit FC Stadium & Burnham Yards

Denver’s sports infrastructure pipeline took a meaningful step forward this week as two major stadium projects hit key milestones.

Denver Summit FC finalized its land acquisition for the Santa Fe Yards site at Broadway and I 25, securing 14 acres for its future stadium and mixed use development. The project is expected to deliver a permanent home for the club by spring 2028. In the near term, Summit FC will host its inaugural home opener this Saturday at Empower Field at Mile High.

Separately, new details emerged around the Broncos’ pursuit of Burnham Yard as the preferred site for a future stadium. State documents outline a $45.81 million purchase price for the property, with an escrow funding deadline of May 15, 2026 and a final closing deadline of June 30, 2027.

While the Broncos project remains in the planning and entitlement phase, the updated terms provide clearer structure around timing as the team advances its vision for a new stadium and mixed use district. The broader development is targeting a 2031 delivery.
