Packer Ohana Holdings, a growing foothills restaurant group is preparing to expand one of their concepts to Morrison, inside the former post office and Red Rocks Cyclery space.
Tiffani and Chef Rand G. Packer plan to open a second location of Kiki's Health Café at 300 Bear Creek Avenue on September 1st. The approximately 1,700-square-foot health cafe will introduce a drive-through window designed for residents, outdoor enthusiasts and Red Rocks concertgoers looking for something quick on the way into the mountains.
The building itself has moved through several identities. It was originally constructed to serve as Morrison's post office, and most recently operated as Red Rocks Cyclery, the longtime bike shop that closed out of the space. Ownership passed to Bear Creek Development, led by Jeff Bradley, which spent close to a year in litigation with the Town of Morrison over its redevelopment plans before the two sides reached a settlement clearing the way for a remodel.
The renovation puts the site's existing infrastructure to work. The property carries a wraparound drive that predates the current drive-thru plan, and the project incorporates a new drive-through window built specifically to use that layout, turning what was a post office loading configuration into a functional quick-service lane.
The new location will build upon the original Kiki's in Evergreen, which serves a menu inspired by the flavors of Hawaii, including açaí bowls, poke bowls, smoothies and other fast, health-focused options. The Evergreen café currently operates at 28206 Highway 74 after relocating into a larger former Baskin-Robbins space.
"Morrison is having its moment in the sun, but the real reason why we decided to launch Kiki's Health Cafe in the town is because it aligns perfectly with the guiding principles of the restaurant," the Packers told Naked Denver. "We're proud to serve healthy, chef-driven offerings that are quick, flavorful and easy to take on your next adventure."
The Morrison restaurant will be the latest addition to the Packers' growing portfolio of foothills dining concepts. Through Packer Ohana Holdings, the husband-and-wife team operates Kiki's Health Café, Muddy Buck Coffee House and Evoke 1923 in Evergreen, along with La Rocca Rossa in Morrison.
Each restaurant occupies a distinct position within the market. Evoke 1923 offers an elevated dining experience inside the historic Marshdale Lodge, constructed in 1923, where the Packers opened in October 2024 with a rotating menu built around seasonal ingredients and global influences developed by Chef Rand during his time cooking in California and Hawaii. La Rocca Rossa followed in Morrison, taking over the former Café Prague property at 209 Bear Creek Avenue with an Italian-inspired steakhouse menu centered on a wood-burning grill, handmade pastas, Colorado meats and seafood sourced from Japan and Australia.
The new Kiki's arrives as Morrison enters a new period of investment. Construction is underway on The Red Hotel, a three-story boutique hotel planned for 203 and 205 Bear Creek Avenue. The approximately 15,000-square-foot project is expected to include 22 guest rooms, a ground-floor coffee and tapas space and a rooftop patio, and will become Morrison's first approved hotel and one of the town's most significant new commercial developments in decades.
The drive-through could become one of the location's defining features, letting customers pick up locally roasted coffee, smoothies, snacks and meals without interrupting their trip to Red Rocks or the surrounding trails. That flexibility gives Kiki's a considerably different role than La Rocca Rossa despite the two restaurants operating in the same small community. One is built for wood-fired steaks, handmade pasta and evenings around the table. The other is designed to fuel hikes, commutes, concerts and everyday routines.
According to the Packers, that distinction is intentional. "The first step in this process is to audit your existing businesses," they said. "Does this new concept offer our guests something new and exciting, or is it an extension of something we already do well?" Each restaurant is developed around its own identity, but the group carries the same foundational standards of hospitality, quality and consistency across the portfolio.
That philosophy extends beyond the restaurants themselves. The Packers' fundraising efforts have generated more than $100,000 for Resilience1220, an Evergreen-based organization that provides free mental health services to young people between the ages of 12 and 20 in Colorado's mountain communities, with Evoke 1923 hosting benefit dinners in October 2024 and October 2025.
The timing could also place greater attention on what the Packers and other restaurateurs are building beyond Denver. In February, Michelin announced that its 2026 Colorado Guide would expand statewide, extending eligibility beyond Denver, Boulder, Aspen, Snowmass Village, Vail and Beaver Creek to restaurants throughout the state, including in Morrison and Evergreen, for the first time.
With Kiki's preparing to open September 1 in a building that has already been a post office, a bike shop and now a health café, the group is betting that Morrison's next chapter will be shaped not only by new development and the millions of visitors passing through Red Rocks, but by businesses designed to serve the people who live, work and explore there every day.
