Our Savior’s Lutheran Church in Capitol Hill is looking to transform a portion of its property into much-needed senior housing.

The church has submitted concept plans for a 4-story, 58-unit affordable housing project in partnership with Montana-based BlueLine Development and Denver’s own Shop Work Architects.

The proposed 44,000-square-foot building would rise on a half-acre site and include 15 parking spaces.

Residents must be 55 or older and earn between 40% and 70% of the area median income.

Plans call for demolishing the northern a wing of the church, which is currently unused. If approved and funded, Our Savior’s hopes to break ground on January 1, 2027.
