1457 S Peal Street

The section of S Peal Street in between Arkansas Avenue & E Florida Avenue could see three new townhomes erected above a commercial space.

1457 S Peal Street is currently occupied by One Ton Creative Design Group, while some of the adjacent businesses include Jacks on Pearl, Izakaya Den, Sushi Den and Stella's Coffee Haus.

Aerial View

The owner is proposing a partial demolition to the rear of the building to construct two additional stories with three new townhomes.

A portion of the structure will be built over the existing street front building. According to the application, One Ton Creative Design Group will continue occupying the building once the townhomes are compete.

Aerial View

With the desirability of the S Peal Street corridor, this seems like a creative, logical way to add density to the area. The only negative we found is that there is no planned parking for the townhomes, meaning residents will have to complete with local businesses for street parking.

We'll be sure to keep an eye on this project for any updates.
