1799 N Pennsylvania Street
The Tapestry has reached a major construction milestone at 1799 Pennsylvania St., occupying the block along 18th Avenue between Pennsylvania and Logan streets.
Vertical construction is now complete on the 72 unit affordable housing development, with work shifting toward the exterior, interiors and final building systems. The project appears to be moving toward an early 2027 completion.
The five story building will include 1, 2, 3 and 4 bedroom apartments reserved for households earning between 30% and 80% of area median income. The ground floor will also house Mile High Early Learning Center and the Uptown Clinic, while Hope Communities will provide on site resident services.
Gorman & Company is developing the project in partnership with The Colorado Health Foundation. SAR+ Architects and Deneuve Construction Services are part of the project team. The development received federal and state 9% Low Income Housing Tax Credits along with a Transit Oriented Communities credit through the Colorado Housing and Finance Authority.
Denver also committed a $3.24 million Affordable Housing Fund loan.
The project replaces the former Employers Council property, which The Colorado Health Foundation acquired as part of a broader vision for a multi generational affordable housing campus in central Denver.
