On The Square DTC
Shucking Good Hospitality, led by founder and President Sean Huggard, has signed a lease for The Coastal Service, a new East Coast inspired seafood and oyster bar at On The Square near Belleview Avenue and Ulster Street. The restaurant is expected to open in early 2027.
On The Square is Shea Properties’ redevelopment of the former Marina Square property, which opened in 1979 and became an early retail and social destination in the Denver Tech Center. The first phase includes 481 residences at Eclipse On The Square and approximately 40,000 square feet of retail and dining space.
A 68 foot sculptural eclipse will anchor a new public plaza at the center of the development, surrounded by native green spaces, dining, retail, wellness and fitness uses. On The Square is expected to begin opening in late 2026.
Known tenants include Sweetgreen, Barcelona Wine Bar, GOLFTEC, Mendocino Farms, PopUp Bagels, FACE FOUNDRIÉ, [solidcore], First Interstate Bank and now The Coastal Service. The project is positioning the former Marina Square site as a new dining and gathering destination for the DTC.
The Coastal Service will serve as a sibling concept to Blue Island Oyster Bar and Seafood, but will draw its inspiration from Huggard’s years working as a chef on Nantucket. Plans call for a raw bar, fresh seafood, seasonal coastal dishes, premium steaks and an extensive wine, martini and cocktail program.
