As part of the city’s $100 million investment into downtown, $750,000 is going to help Sundae Ice Cream open and expand their new flagship store at 16th and Glenarm, right in the heart of the 16th Street Mall.
Originally known for their shops in mountain towns like Vail and Telluride, Sundae is bringing their small-batch, handcrafted ice cream to the city in a big way.
The new downtown location will serve as both a retail scoop shop and a production kitchen, with windows facing the street so you can watch waffle cones being made in real time.
Inside, the space will include two service lines to keep things moving and a dedicated classroom for Create Your Own Pint sessions where you can mix, name, and take home your own custom flavor. The goal is to make the shop a year-round destination that is part dessert spot, part experience.
The location is just steps from Civic Center, Skyline Park, and the Pavilions, placing it right in the middle of Denver’s downtown revival.
It is also designed with the community in mind, with indoor and outdoor seating and thoughtful accessibility features.
This is more than just a place to grab a scoop. It is an anchor for a block that is being reactivated, one handmade cone at a time.
