Today we head over to the RK Industries headquarters in Central Park. RK Industries occupies this 14 acre, 79,684 square foot industrial complex adjacent to the Central Park light rail station.

RK Industries is proposing to construct 9, 4-story apartment buildings with a total of 571,300 square feet and 584 units.

RK Industries is a large commercial services company with various locations throughout Colorado, Utah and New Mexico.

RK Industries purchased the industrial complex in 1997 when Central Park was underdeveloped and still known as Stapleton.

The site was previously the subject for the Rocky Mountain Real Estate Challenge where students from the University of Colorado and the University of Denver evaluated multiple transit oriented development opportunities.

With the massive residential redevelopment in the neighborhood, the RK industries headquarters has slowly become a less desirable use considering residents typically don't want to live next to an industrial use.

Considering the development is still in the early stages, renderings have not been released yet. We expect ground breaking to happen sometime in 2023. We'll be sure to check back with any updates until then.
