Denargo Market took a monumental step forward in redefining Denver’s urban landscape today with the unveiling of its newest landmark, a 30-foot-tall climbable sculpture named Rhingo!
Developed by Golub & Company and FORMATIV, this interactive artwork on the corner of 29th Street & Arkins Court marks a key milestone for the 17-acre redevelopment transforming Denver’s River North (RiNo) neighborhood into a vibrant, inclusive, and people-first destination.
Sean Campbell, Founder and CEO of FORMATIV, emphasized the development’s guiding vision during the unveiling stating, “Denargo Market is about more than buildings. It’s about building a connective, creative, people-first neighborhood.”
Laura Newman, Vice President of Investment and Development at Golub & Company, was joined by District 9 Councilman Darrell Watson, to reveal the sculpture’s name, Rhingo, selected through a public naming campaign that received over 1,000 submissions.
“We’re excited to show all of Denver the exciting things that can happen here,” said Newman.
As one of Denver’s largest urban infill projects, Denargo Market represents a $190M investment in the city’s future.
With more than 3 million square feet of mixed-use space planned, including residential units, ground-floor retail, office campuses, and hospitality venues, this development is poised to bridge the city’s past and future through sustainable, inclusive design.
This reveal marks a major milestone in the delivery of more than four acres of public open space at Denargo Market.
It will include a pedestrian-only plaza, a riverfront promenade, fountains, a nature play tower, sport courts, a community garden, a revitalized dog park, and curbless streets, all designed to bring residents and visitors closer to the South Platte River.
The sculpture’s unveiling also sets the stage for Denargo Market’s grand opening block party slated for early September. The Block Party will activate the site as a gathering place for farmers markets, live performances, art installations, and other community involvement.
As it evolves, Denargo Market will serve as a hub for residential living, creativity, and culture, all within walking distance of Downtown, Union Station and the RiNo Arts District.
