8695 E. Maxwell Place

Primrose Schools is proposing a new early education campus near East Maxwell Place and North Argonne Street in Green Valley Ranch.

Plans call for a 13,765 square foot, single story school on approximately 1.46 acres. The campus would include enclosed outdoor play areas, artificial turf safety surfacing, landscaping, bicycle parking and 64 vehicle spaces, including accessible and electric vehicle spaces.

The exterior would combine brick, stone, dark metal roofing and awnings with a taller entrance feature marking the primary entry.

Founded in 1982, Primrose has grown to more than 500 locally owned schools nationwide. The company serves children from infancy through kindergarten through its Balanced Learning curriculum, which combines purposeful play, teacher guided instruction and social emotional development.

The project would add new childcare and preschool capacity near the rapidly developing 56th Avenue and Tower Road corridor, where continued residential, commercial and airport related growth is driving demand for everyday neighborhood services.

Denver issued its first round of urban design comments in June, requesting revisions related to pedestrian crossings, landscaping, signage and the connection between the building entrance and the public sidewalk.
