Another chain bites the dust as Qdoba has officially closed its doors at 1400 E 17th Avenue, making room for something much more handmade. Magic Artisan Noodle is set to take over the 2,781-square-foot standalone building in the heart of Denver’s Uptown neighborhood.

1400 E 17th Ave

The new concept comes from Noodle Den LLC, the team behind Kung Fu Tea and TKK Fried Chicken in Colorado Springs and Hana Matsuri Sushi in Westminster. However, instead of fried chicken or sushi rolls, their latest venture puts Chinese hand-pulled noodles front and center.

Guests can expect more than just a bowl of noodles.

The restaurant will feature a live noodle-making station, think sushi bar, but with flying flour and fresh dough, offering a visual experience alongside its contemporary take on traditional Chinese fare.

The lease was secured by Henry Group Real Estate, with Patrick Henry and Boston Weir representing the property owner, 17th Avenue Investors LLC. Brian Chimileski of Madison Commercial Properties repped the tenant.

This stretch of 17th continues to evolve, with new restaurants slowly replacing the chain concepts that once dominated.

Whether Magic Artisan Noodle becomes the next neighborhood favorite remains to be seen, but it’s clear that Uptown is leaning more local, more craft, and more fresh.
