Leven Deli Co., the beloved Golden Triangle eatery known for its fresh fare and curated wine list, is expanding into downtown Denver.
Set to open this winter, Leven Downtown will occupy a prime ground-floor space at Block 162, a 30-story Class A tower at 675 15th Street.
The new location will feature a broader lunch and dinner menu, a bar, and a wine program led by owner and sommelier Anthony Lygizos. An open kitchen and live indoor trees will bring a warm, natural vibe to the base of one of Denver’s newest skyscrapers.
Block 162 broke ground in 2018 and delivered in 2021. While leasing momentum has picked up, occupancy still hovers just above 60%, with a longer-than-expected stabilization period.
The addition of a high-quality, local retail tenant like Leven signals optimism, not just for the building, but for downtown as a whole.
“There’s no question that downtown Denver has encountered some issues in recent years, shifting office culture, safety concerns, and business uncertainty,” said Lygizos.
“But we believe in the future of this city. Denver has always been a place that reinvents itself, and we see signs of that renewal taking shape… I’m betting on Denver because I know how much this city has to offer. And I believe great hospitality can help bring people back, not just to downtown, but to the table.”
The new deli arrives as downtown enters a wave of reinvention, with a 673-foot observation tower proposed next door, a 39-story high-rise planned for California and 17th featuring 223 hotel rooms and 320 apartments, and a massive 700-unit office-to-residential conversion also at the same corner.
Just down the street, the city is actively reshaping its urban core, and Leven is stepping in as a key player in that comeback story.
