233 Clayton Street
Mar Bella Boqueria officially opened at 233 Clayton Street in Cherry Creek, marking the latest concept from Michelin recognized chef Johnny Curiel and partner Kasie Curiel.
The restaurant is located inside the Clayton Hotel and Members Club, a 63 key hotel and private members club completed in 2021. The project was developed by BMC Investments and designed by 4240 Architecture. The building includes approximately 9,000 square feet of ground floor retail now occupied by food and beverage concepts including The Parlour, Alteño and Mar Bella.
Mar Bella is a Spanish neo bistro and wine bar inspired by coastal Spain and Basque pintxos culture. The seafood forward menu features tapas, house made conservas, pâtés, terrines and a dry aged fish program. A jamoneria counter offers hand cut Jamón Ibérico and Serrano alongside curated meats and cheeses. The beverage program focuses on Spanish wines and cocktails.
Mar Bella joins a rapidly growing portfolio from Fonda Fina Hospitality that includes Michelin starred Alma Fonda Fina, Bib Gourmand recipient Cozobi Fonda Fina, Mezcaleria Alma and Michelin recommended Alteño.
The group has already announced its next project, Maize, an intimate 8 seat tasting menu restaurant planned for RiNo. The concept will feature an 18 course exploration of traditional Mexican cuisine centered on in house nixtamalized masa, continuing Curiel’s expansion across Denver’s dining and development landscape.
