Denver's architecture takes center stage with Doors Open Denver, a four-day celebration running Thursday September 25 through Sunday, September 28.
Organized by the Denver Architecture Foundation, the annual event opens doors to dozens of sites across the city, pairing insider tours with thought-provoking programs and special experiences at some of Denver's most iconic and unexpected venues.
The festivities begin Thursday with a keynote lecture at the Denver Art Museum, followed by Y/OUR Denver photo reception at the Colorado Photographic Arts Center and a Toast to Preservation at the former home of preservationist Dana Crawford, honoring her legacy.
On Friday, more than 20 of Denver's leading architectural and design firms will open their doors for tours and behind-the-scenes looks. The day caps off with An Evening of Elevation on the rooftop of One River North, where guests can take in sweeping sunset views at one of Denver's newest landmarks.
Saturday highlights include a talk with the founders of Rowland and Broughton, the award-winning Aspen and Denver design firm, hosted at the Walker Art Gallery. Later, the conversation shifts to the future of Speer Boulevard, pairing wine, cheese, and networking with big ideas for one of the city's most traveled corridors.
The entire event invites you to explore Denver in a new way.
From adaptive reuse projects to brand-new icons, Doors Open Denver offers a rare opportunity to step inside spaces that shape the city's identity. With guided tours, community discussions, and interactive experiences, it's more than just an event, it's an opportunity to connect with the people and stories behind Denver's built environment.
Whether you are an industry professional, a history enthusiast, or simply curious about the city around you, this year's event promises inspiration at every turn.
