Southlands just got a little taste of Italy. Dolce Vita opened this summer right next to the AMC theater, serving heartfelt dishes inspired by family and the kind of love that never leaves you hungry.
Our new food partner @snackwithjac stopped by to experience the new local favorite and shared a spread that perfectly captured Dolce Vita’s charm.
The Pasta Alla Vodka with grilled chicken came tossed in a rich, creamy tomato vodka sauce, while the Salmon with pesto cream and risotto was pure comfort, seared and silky with a touch of basil. A Margherita pizza brought simple perfection, and the Osso Buco offered that slow cooked warmth that only family recipes seem to have.
To top it off, shrimp and scallop linguine and a pair of classic Italian cocktails, an espresso martini and an Aperol spritz, set the tone for a proper evening out.
Dolce Vita’s story began on June 26, 2025, the same date as the owners’ parents’ wedding anniversary. It’s a place born from love and memory, shaped by the family’s move from Europe to Southeast Aurora in 2008.
For the owners, Southlands isn’t just a shopping center. It’s where they built friendships, fell in love, and found community.
Opening Dolce Vita here was their way of returning that feeling to the neighborhood, creating a space that feels like home, where everyone is welcome.
