Lakewood’s longtime Meadow Creek Tennis and Fitness Club has officially rebranded as Denver Racquets Club and the change is much more than just a new name.
The 60,000 square foot facility has been transformed into one of the city’s first all-in-one racquet sport destinations. The highlight of the rebrand is four new outdoor padel courts that opened this summer.
Padel is one of the fastest growing sports in the world and is played on a smaller enclosed court where the ball can bounce off glass walls. It combines the pace of tennis with the strategy of squash. Denver Racquets Club is now one of only a few places in Colorado where you can play.
Inside the club you will find seven indoor tennis courts that have been upgraded with new lighting and fans. For pickleball, the club operates a satellite facility at nearby 679 Sheridan Boulevard with two indoor courts and there are plans to add outdoor courts in the future.
Members can also play on two heated outdoor platform tennis courts which are designed for four season play. Platform tennis is played on elevated decks surrounded by wire screens that keep the ball in play even during the winter months.
Membership at the club provides you priority access to programs and court reservations at an affordable rate. Non-members may also use the club and incur a daily guest fee.
The club is committed to future improvements such as updated locker rooms, new food and beverage options and the possibility of adding squash, badminton and/or table tennis.
