1612 Wazee Street
The City and County of Denver has issued an emergency suspension of licenses for the Nativ Hotel and associated businesses at 1612 Wazee Street in Lower Downtown.
According to public records from Denver Excise and Licenses, the city suspended the property’s hotel, liquor, food, and cabaret licenses on April 10. The order requires the business to cease operations while a hearing process moves forward.
City records cite repeated violations of the Denver Fire Code. Inspection reports document issues with required life safety systems, including fire alarm system deficiencies.
The suspension was issued under the city’s authority to take emergency action when conditions are determined to present an immediate risk to public health or safety.
Public records show the property had prior compliance actions and reinspection activity leading up to the suspension.
As part of the order, the property is not permitted to operate lodging, food and beverage service, or entertainment activities unless the licenses are reinstated.
A formal hearing will determine whether the licenses are reinstated, modified, or revoked.
