Construction at 210 University Blvd has reached a major milestone as the Akin Bonnie Brae project officially goes vertical.
The development is planned as a mixed use multifamily building that will deliver approximately 46 residential units above ground level commercial space. Parking will be integrated into the structure, with roughly 84 parking stalls included as part of the project.
The building will introduce new housing options in the Bonnie Brae area, with units expected to range from studios to larger multi bedroom layouts. Street level commercial space is planned along University Boulevard, adding neighborhood serving retail to the corridor.
Now that vertical construction is underway, the scale and massing of the building are becoming visible from surrounding streets.
The project replaces a lower intensity site with a denser, urban form consistent with recent infill development in the area.
With the structure now rising, construction activity is expected to accelerate as the project moves toward completion.
