We first visited this corner of Lincoln Street and E 4th Avenue almost 2 years ago when three aging single family homes still occupied the site. Those structures have since been removed, and the land has now been fully cleared as work begins on a new 9 story hotel. The property consists of 4 parcels with homes originally built in 1906.
The owners pursued an 8 story apartment project with 139 units in 2022, but that plan was ultimately dropped. The site has since shifted toward a hospitality use that appears to offer stronger financial upside. The current proposal includes a 9 story hotel with 128 rooms, 45 parking spots, and 100 bicycle spaces. Site grading and early preparation work are underway, indicating that the project is moving toward formal construction.
The area continues to attract steady commercial and residential investment, and the hotel would add new lodging options in a corridor that keeps tightening.
