A vacant lot located at the corner of E Colfax Avenue and Dexter Street in the Hale section of the city has received a proposal for a new concept that combines a restaurant/retail market with office space on the second story.

2022

The site was previously occupied by Shiny Happy Car Wash, which was built in 2003. Lumen Homes acquired the car wash in 2022, intending to construct 14 townhomes. However, for reasons unknown, those plans were not realized. Consequently, Lumen Homes demolished the car wash and sold the site to Hartman Square LLC in May 2023 for $1,625,000.

Hartman's new proposal includes a two-story mixed-use building styled as a market with a central common area, featuring space for four restaurant tenants and office space on the upper level.
