Today we visit Aurora, where we find a proposal for a 255 unit mixed-use building on the vacant corner lot at the intersection of S Peoria Street & S Parker Road.
The lot was once home to a Firestone Tire center and single-story strip mall that was demolished in 2016-2017. Since then, the area has seen increased development with a brand new retail strip across the street along S Peoria Street.
The developer leading the project will be Nine Mile Apartments LLC, with architectural plans provided by KTGY Group.
According to building plans, the building will consist of 5 stories, 256,757 square feet of gross building area, 255 residential units, 2 ground floor commercial units and a 5 level parking garage.
Building amenities will include a resident lounge, fitness center, dog spa, club room and interior courtyard.
The project is expected to break ground early next year with an estiamted completion date in 2023/2024. We'll check back at groundbreaking with more updates!
