1080 Ames Street

Last month, a proposal to construct a 8-story apartment building was filed for 1080 Ames Street in Lakewood.

Site View

Developed by Brinshore and designed by Davis Partnership Architects, this project will feature 104 affordable apartments consisting of 62 one-bedroom units, 28 two-bedroom units and 12 three-bedroom units.

One-bedroom units will range from 571-616 sq ft, while the two-bedroom and three-bedroom units will measure 859 sq ft, and 965 sq. ft. respectively.

Considering the Sheridan Light Rail Station is directly in front of the property, there will only be 17 parking spaces available with an additional 58 bicycle spaces on site.

Multiple Perspectives

Residents will be able to utilize the Sheridan station of the light rail with travel times of 15 minutes or less to downtown Denver and Union Station.

Aerial View - Facing North

This area has seen immense change over the past 5 years specifically with the plan to redevelop the old 955 Sheridan Strip Mall previously covered here. With a population of just over 159,000, as of 2023 and with major changes coming to the area, Denver’s closest mountain suburb looks to add more housing to host the influx of residents looking for a quiet suburb with beautiful mountain views and great accessibility.

The project is set to be completed in q4 of 2023.
